What I like about the Purina litter system

Let me explain what I like the most about this system. Firstly, as it is an all-in-one system it is easy to maintain and clean. I like the fact that they guarantee the fact that it blocks ammonia, this has got to be a big issue for cat owners, so it’s good to see it’s being addressed.

It comes with some absorbent litter pads to mop up the mess. Another thumbs up to the easier maintenance category in my opinion.

Not sure if you have ever experienced tracking issues from your cat? Well, it’s gross! It means you will have dirty paws tracking ammonia and feces around your house. Well, this bad boy has considered that as well with their anti-tracking feature.

Finally, I need to comment on the way they deal with solid waste. They effectively dehydrate the waste so that it is easier for you to clean it up. Result!

What I do not like about the Purina litter system

Like all good things, they are never perfect. And, this Purina offering is no different. With that being said, let me comment on some of my issues with this device.

Firstly, the pellets that come with it. Some of them are really small, almost like they were chippings or just not complete. But, that’s not the issue. It’s what happens to them the issue manifests.

Basically, because they are quite small, they can next in the small grated crevises that typically contain the cat pee, yes, the cat pee!

So, as you can probably imagine, they end up getting stuck and mixed in with the pee, meaning you need to fish them out. Not great!… But, not a deal-breaker, in my opinion.

Lastly, it’s the fact that you need to keep re-buying these pads. They are great, but you just need to factor that into your budget and understand that from the off.

What I like about the sWheat Litter

I am not sure about you but I appreciate any product that is delicate on the kitties paws, and this one will not let you down. Why? Because it is designed to be delicate in this area.

It is also purposely colored white. This is a cool way to detect if there is any unforeseen urine color changes. Why would you need to be worried about this? Well, if there are big changes in this area it could indicate a health issue. This way, it’s easier to detect it early, are you with me?

The next thing is odor control. It uses cassava and corn to capture the stinky bits and get rid of the odor, are you with me? While I am on the topic of cassava and corn, let me comment on the fact that it is 100% natural.

This means that it does not rely on any chemicals to do the job. This is a great addition and one that all cat owners should be looking out for. Also, the fact that it is all-natural and sustainable, you can even flush this directly down the toilet. Making it easy to tidy up and better for the environment.

What I do not like about sWheat Litter

I have to start with the dust. I know the headline of this product is “dust-free”, blah, blah, blah. Well, I am not 100% convinced. It still seems to attract small particles of dust. Maybe it’s just me?

It has a cute velcro seal. But, to be honest, it’s not the best. I understand, in the scheme of things, this is a minor. Arguably “nit-picking”, but, I still need to mention it.

What I like about the Garfield litter

Firstly this litter is a wheat-based product. So what? Well, it means it’s a renewable resource and good for the environment. It is also biodegradable, which is another big bonus.

While we are on this “natural” theme, I will also like to comment on the fact that it has been designed to control odors in a natural fashion, which is ideal for those that appreciate these clean green methods.

I like the fact that it has been designed to clump up super fast and on top of this, you can flush the mess right down the toilet. Which is a big plus.

What I do not like about Garfield litter

One thing I would say about this. It is a bit messy. The sandy substance has the habit of getting everywhere. one could argue that it’s better than getting standard litter everywhere, but it messy never the less.
