Holds cats of all sizes (including large cats)
Regardless of the type of cat you have, it’s important that the perch can hold a lot of weight. You see, the more it can handle gives you more confidence it will handle your cat and her movement. Are you with me?
Foldable (you can still close your curtains/blinds)
If you chose a perch that is foldable, then you will make life easier for yourself. How? Well, when it gets dark outside or you need some privacy, you can simply fold it away and close your curtains/blinds, are you with me?
Easy to clean
The reality is, your kitty will, with time, get the perch messy. Maybe its dirt from your garden, tracking cat litter into your room, then onto the perch. You name it, it will happen somehow.
Therefore, it’s important that the perch is easy to clean. Some of the good ones allow you to remove the pad that she lies on, so you can wash and replace it, these are ideal.
Strong & sturdy build
Remember this, your kitty is being held by this perch, therefore, it is important that it holds her securely and is built with sturdy material. Ideally, the material is non-toxic and also eco-friendly.
If your cat is going to spending time on this perch, especially in the warmer months, it needs to have breathable material. So, check to see if it has this.
My best 3 cat window perches for an RV (Review)
In this section, I will share with you three of my best cat windows perches. Each one is ideal for an RV. To make it easier I will explain exactly what I liked and disliked about each one. This will help you to decide what works best for you.
01. K&H Pet Products window perch (Best Option)
- Great for RV owners
- The pad can be removed to be cleaned
- Uses push’ n ‘turn suction cups (helps to reinforce it)
- Claims to hold up to 100 pounds of weight
- Lets your kitty relax & bird-watch
- Foldable (So you can close your curtains or blinds)
- The suction cups may slide down over time
- Would be good if a replacement pad was available (to swap & clean)
- May be too wide for some windows
What I like about this K&H Pet Products cat window perch
If you are an RV fan, then some of the challenges is finding the right accessories for it, right? Well, this window perch by K&H may be a breath of fresh air. Why? Well, it’s great for RV owners.
Firstly, the pad can easily be removed, so you can keep it clean. And, we all know, in tight spaces, it is easy for bad smells to get really irritating, right?
To help to reinforce it to your window, it uses the push’ n ‘turn technology (more on this later). In fact, they claim it can support up to 100 pounds in weight. If this is true, it sounds ideal for big cats, such as Main Coons, Ragdolls (Click here for the best scratching posts for them), etc.
One of the benefits this offers, like other window perches, is the ability for your kitty to kick-back, relax and do some bird-watching, are you with me?
If you are worried about closing your curtains or blinds, when the sun goes in, don’t be. Why? Well, this perch is foldable, so it won’t be an issue.
In summary, if you are looking for a cat window perch that is ideal for your RV, with a removable pad for washing and foldable, then this sounds good for you.
What I dislike about this K&H Pet Products cat window perch
Earlier I mentioned that the suction cups are claimed to support up to 100 pounds, remember? Well. like a lot of these window perches, the reality is, there is a good chance, in time, they may slide down. I could be wrong, but I just feel that it is just the reality of these things.
I also mentioned that the pad is removable, so you can clean it. Well, that’s great, but, it would be even better if you could get a replacement pad, so you could alternate them while cleaning if that makes sense?
The reality is, every window is different, so even though its ideal for most RVs, make sure you measure up because it can’t fit every window, right?
02. Cat window perch/hammock
- Thick holding ropes (Increases its reliability & strength)
- ABS plastic piping (Helps to keep it eco-friendly & sturdy)
- Flannel based mat included (more cozy for her)
- Waterproof matt (also drys quickly)
- Can be used with large cats
- The suction cups may lose strength over time
- A bit tricky to setup
- May need to train your cat to use it
What I love about this cat window perch/hammock
When you have an item that is supporting the weight of your fur baby, it needs to be strong, right? Well, the good thing, in this case, is that it comes with some thick holding ropes, to help to keep it secure.
It uses ABS plastic piping, this keeps it eco-friendly and also helps to keep it Saturday and strong.
To help your kitty to feel more comfortable and cozy, there is a flannel based matt included. She will appreciate looking through your RV window and feeling comfortable.
The actual matt it comes with is waterproof, which is an important feature. But, it also is quick-drying.
So, in the event that it does get wet, not only will it resist the water penetrating it, but it will dry quickly and not irritate your kitty if she attempts to sit on it, are you with me?
I like the fact that this perch can also be used with large cats, so if you have one this will be good news.
In summary, if you are looking for window perch that is waterproof, dries quickly and is designed to accommodate large cats, then this is for you.
What I don’t love about this cat window perch/hammock
This perch is great, but some may find it a bit tricky to set it up. It could be just me to be fair, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Like most of these perches, the suction cups may become loose over time, so keep that in mind. Lastly, some cats do not instantly take to these perches. If this is the case, you may need to take some time to train her to use it.
03. Lovinouse cat window perch
- Simple to install
- Compact (ideal for RVs or small areas)
- Strong suction
- Uses non-toxic piping, PVC

- Breathable mesh material (reduces the chances of her overheating)
- Quite flimsy

What I appreciate about this Lovinouse cat window perch
This perch by Lovinouse makes life easier with its simplicity to get it installed. It is simple and compact. Meaning, you will be able to use this for your RV.
It comes with strong suction cups. But, this doesn’t mean they are perfect (more on this later). It uses non-toxic piping made from PVC. Like most owners, non-toxic is mandatory.
With regard to the weight, it is claimed to support up to 22 pounds of weight, which is reasonable for its size. It also uses some breathable mesh material. This helps to keep her from overheating on sunny days.
In summary, If you are looking for a compact window perch that uses non-toxic material and breathable then this one is ideal.
What I do not appreciate about this Lovinouse cat window perch
As much as I love this cat perch, mainly for the fact its compact, it is a bit flimsy. So, if you are expecting a big, bulky window perch, then you will be unfulfilled.
Also, it does not have any clear instructions. I understand that some people do not even look at instructions, but I like to have a clear set to help me.
