What is the best cat stroller for 2 cats? This is my best one (Click here to see the reviews on Amazon). I like this one because it is large enough for 2 cats, water-resistant, nice and wide and easy to access (See below for full break-down).

What you should know about cat strollers designed for 2 cats

Before you rush out to pick up one of these bad boys, you need to be informed of some of the best features and benefits to look out for, right? So, let me fill you in…

  • Size (Big enough for two cats)
  • Easy access/entry
  • Water-resistant (for poor weather conditions)
  • Adjustable handle
  • Available in multiple colors

Size (Big enough for two cats)

One of the biggest factors when considering transporting more than one cat s the size. And not just that, it’s also enough room for them to feel comfortable (not just big enough). Therefore the stroller should either be large or a double stroller to meet your needs.

Easy access/entry

Gaining simple access and taking your kitty out should be top of the list. If you have a difficult or aggressive cat (Click here for a solution to deal with aggressive cats), then this escalates to the top of the list.

The best cat strollers will offer multiple entry points. As well as, or including, zipper-free fasteners to make it even easier to get her in and out.

Water-resistant (for poor weather conditions)

If you like to cover all bases, then preparing for poor weather conditions is a must. Then, if I assume you do, and you are like me. Then, you should make sure it has a water-resistant cover. And, generally built to deal with harsh weather conditions.

Adjustable handle

To get the best fit you really need an adjustable handle. The reason is, no matter how great the manufacturer is as looking at the best average size, everyone is different. Therefore and adjustable handle will make your life a lot easier.

Available in multiple colors

If you are like me you will appreciate the aesthetics. Meaning, the color of the stroller makes a difference. Ideally, your best stroller should have a few choices for you to make the best selection to match your needs. Let’s face it, we do not all want the same default color that everyone has, right?

My 3 best cat strollers for 2 cats

In this section, I will share with you three of my best strollers that are ideal for 2 cats. This section will take into consideration the good, the bad and the ugly. So, I will highlight what I love as well as the annoying bits to see which one resonates with you.

01. Pet Gear Double Cat Stroller (Best Option)

Pros:

  • Ideal for 2 cats
  • Simple to lock up (No-zip)
  • Large & wide for comfortability
  • Efficient foot brake
  • Water-resistant

Cons:

  • Quite heavy
  • It is quite difficult to collapse it for storage

What I like about this cat stroller

This cat stroller is built for 2 cats, hence the reason I like this. It is not just large enough for your loved ones, but it is easy to use. In particular its simple No-zip system. Meaning, you no longer need to fumble around with difficult zips in the pouring rain, which is annoying, right?

It offers a lovely wide wheel and base to make your kitties feel at home, while they are on the move. It also helps that poor weather conditions will not eve stop you anymore, with its water-resistant cover that it comes with.

If you are an energetic cat owner who has a busy schedule you will love the well-designed tyers that are designed to take impact easily and even deal with jogging, if needed. And, no worries it has a good brake to stop it in the event that you get carried away.

What I do not like about this cat stroller

As much as I love this stroller it isn’t perfect, to be honest. Be warned, it’s designed for two cats, so it is consequently it is quite heavy. But, I guess that’s the trade-off, right?

As well as this, it is quite awkward. Meaning, you may struggle to get this through normal-sized doors, so you will need to factor that in. Also, it’s quite difficult to break down and store it.

With that being said, I still feel that this is a great selection.

02. Pet Gear Large Cat Stroller

Pros:

  • Great for 2 cats
  • Simple entry/exit (No zip required)
  • Front & rear entry points (for convenience)
  • Adjustable handle (to meet your needs)
  • Removable liner (for poor weather conditions)

Cons:

  • The front wheels are quite flimsy
  • Doesn’t appear to fit through a normal-sized door

What I like about this cat stroller

This is another stroller that is ideal for two cats, which is ideal for those trips out to the vets, or even further afield.  It has two convenient entry/exit points. One in the front and one in the rear. As simple as this sounds, trust me, it makes a big difference.

This feature is especially helpful if your cat is older or has injuries. In these circumstances, it can be hard for them to maneuver. Even the simplest move can be a struggle, so this feature helps.

This stroller also has the “No-Zip” system making it very easy to enter/exit. I think you just have to experience this to see why it’s so helpful.

Another subtle but well appreciated is the adjustable handle. This cute feature allows you to adjust the handle to meet your body profile.

In the event of poor weather, there is no concern. Why? Because it comes with a removable liner that is ideal for shielding against these conditions.

What I do not like about this cat stroller

One of my issues with this stroller is the wheels. In particular, is the front wheels. They are not like tire wheels, they are quite small and flimsy.

The problem I have is they do not handle the impact from bumps or cracks in the pavement that well. I would prefer if they would have used conventional tire wheels with tread, are you with me?

Also, similar to the last stroller above, this one may not fit through standard sized doors. Again, I feel this is really to do with the fact that it has so much room, enough for two cats. I guess this is the inevitable consequence.

03. PetLuv Large Cat Stroller

Pros:

  • Big enough for two cats
  • Detachable (can be used as a carrier)
  • Secure (lockable wheel, stops it running away!)
  • Excellent ventilation
  • Comfortable pillow (for relaxed transportation)

Cons:

  • The handle seems quite flimsy
  • The mesh doors/windows look quite fragile

What I like about this cat stroller

This cat stroller is a big brute, in a nice way. It can easily handle your two beauties, without any hassle. But that’s not where it ends. You can also detach the main body and use it as a carrier in its own right, are you with me?

This adds a big bonus by giving you the freedom of using it for other tasks such as dipping into the vets or popping into a friend’s house without the hassle of carting around the wheels.

The wheels are another favorite of mine, why? Well, they do the job, but more than that is the fact that you can lock them in position. This means that you can cruise along without them flapping all over the place, make sense?

When it comes to ventilation and giving your cat a great view of her journey they have this covered, which is great for scared cats (Click here for the best carriers for scared cats). The large mesh windows give her an opportunity to gaze outside while you get to your location.

While they chill inside the stroller they will be relaxed with the aid of the comfortable pillows provided. They are simple but efficient. Basically, they keep her comfortable.

What I do not like about this cat stroller

There are a few things with this stroller that annoy me. Don’t get me wrong they are not deal-breakers, but they are still annoyances. Firstly its the weight of the stroller. It is a good size for the kitties, but it is quite bulky and heavy to maneuver.

Next is the handle. It’s just a bit too flimsy for my liking. Again, it’s not unusable, I just worry about how long it will last, are you with me?

Lastly its the mesh windows. Now, before I say this, I do like them for their ventilation, as stated earlier. However, they do seem a bit flimsy in my opinion.

Do you need a cat carrier and a stroller?

No, a cat stroller or carrier is not compulsory. But it helps if you plan to travel with your cat. Whether if that’s just down to the vets or on long journeys on a plane (Click here to see the best carriers for airline travel).
