Gets rid of the urine smell (as well as the stain)

Essentially, this cleaner has to get rid of the urine smell as well as the stain it leaves. Ideally, it should handle both of these, regardless if it is fresh or an old lingering issue, are you with me?

Deals with other odors (Such as sweat, etc)

As well as urine, it should be able to deal with other odors, such as sweat, vomit, etc. Obviously, its not essential, but if it does, it adds more value.

If it’s not simple to use, it won’t get used, right? Ideally, it will have a spray top and simple to get up and running. Not saying that it has to have a spray top, but it helps.

What I like about this Rocco & Roxie urine remover

When it comes to removing the stench of cat urine, Rocco & Roxie make this easy for you. How? They use enzymes that naturally eradicate cat urine (Click here for the best ones).

The good thing about this is, it not only deals with the smell, stains, residue but, it actually deals with the bacteria that are the root cause of the problems in the first place, are you with me?

According to the product listing, it claims that it is safe around pets, which is reassuring, especially if you have other animals running around, such as dogs, etc.

Even though the focus for this article is cat urine smell, it also helps with other household odors such as spilled milk. Which, I am sure you will agree is a pain to get rid of, right?

Using this is simple, just spray and clean, no hassle. It is also helpful that they have customer service on deck to deal with any issues you may have.

In summary, if you are looking for a urine cleaner that is easy to use, eradicates the odor and attacks the underline bacteria, this is the one for you.

What I dislike about this urine remover

Yes, cat urine has a strong smell. But, to be honest, this cleaner also has a strong scent. Obviously. it is much better than urine, in my opinion. But, you should now that it is quite a powerful smell.

Once you use a fair amount of this, in particular when you get below a third of it, you may notice that the sprayer becomes a bit of a faff to use. Not a real big issue to be fair, but just an observation.

  • Removes odor (and keeps it from returning)
  • The scent is not overpowering
  • Works on urine stains as well (including the yellow residue)
  • Works on Carpet, tile, hardwood, etc
  • Gets rid of bacteria

  • The scent may not appeal to you
  • Some surfaces, such as marble, may not agree with this (could strip it)
  • No spray nozzle (you need to pour it, like milk)

What I love about this Nature’s Miracle urine remover

Firstly, this cleaner from Nature’s Miracle does the job. And, ultimately that is what we want, right? To be specific, it removes the odor of the urine. But, more importantly, it stops it returning, are you with me?

Yes, it has a scent. But, it’s not an overpowering type of smell, if that makes sense? It tackles stains as well as that disgusting yellow, sticky residue that is associated with the urine.

It can be used on a range of surfaces such as carpet, tiling, hardwood, etc. Which is great for most cat owner’s needs.

It gets rid of the bacteria that is the main cause of the dreaded smell that fouls your home. Which is better than trying to just mask the smell with an overpowering smell.

In summary, if you are looking for a cat urine cleaner that is scented, but not too overpowering as well as having the ability to be used on many different surfaces, then this is the one for you.

What I do not love about this urine remover

Earlier, I mentioned that it has a scent, remember? Yes, it’s not overpowering, but it does still have a fragrance. And, obviously, some people may not like this. For me, it’s fine, but you may disagree.

Also, I mentioned it can be used on a range of surfaces. Well, while that is great, there may be some surfaces, such as marble flooring that it is not ideal for.

Lastly, more of a nit-pick, it doesn’t come with a spray top. Meaning, you need to pour it out like milk, are you with me? I just feel that a spray top would be easier.

What I do not appreciate about this FurryFreshness urine remover

Q: Can you use other household cleaners to deal with cat urine?

No, it’s not recommended to us just anything, for example, some say it’s dangerous to clean cat urine with bleach. These urine cleaners have been specifically formulated, and more importantly, tested.

Not just for their effectiveness, but also tested for their safety, before they can be sold. So, it’s important to research this before deciding to use an alternative.

Q: Will a mat help to stop urine staining my floor?

Yes, a cat litter mat for urine will help (Click here to see why I rated this one best). Obviously, not just any mat, one that has been specifically made for this purpose is needed if you want the best results.
