How to get ink out of cat fur

In this section, I will explain the three main approaches to removing ink from your kitty. This will help you to understand your options. Here are the choices:

  • Naturally, grow it out
  • Shampoo it
  • Trim it out

Naturally, grow it out

This is the easiest, safest, and cheapest method. But, it takes time to work. The reality is, some people may not be able to wait, because it can take some time. This involves letting nature taking its time and growing out of the old fur. If you can’t wait that long, check out the next option.

Shampoo it

If you feel that you cannot wait for the ink to grow out and it is not that bad, you may be able to wash it out. This is usually only effective if it’s not that much ink, are you with me?

There are quite a few shampoos, that are designed for your kitty, that you can use. Also, some of them use natural products to avoid the harsh chemicals some of them have.

Trim it out

If you can’t wait, and shampoo is no working, the last resort is trimming the fur. To be honest, I would avoid this if possible, but if it’s your only option you can consider it. Also, it is only really applicable if the ink is only in a small area. If it is a large area, seek professional help.
