Enzymatic cleaners are effective urine cleaners because they release elements that will essentially eat the urine, getting rid of the smell completely after it has dried. If you use a cleaner or deodorizer that is not protein-based, chances are it won’t be able to tackle the strong urine smell.

Cats have a much stronger sense of smell than humans, so if you don’t use an enzymatic cleaner, your cat might still be able to smell their urine in that spot and continue to go there.

How Can I Prevent My Cat From Peeing on Itself Again?

If your cat has peed on itself, you are probably wondering what you can do to prevent it from happening again. It is no fun to have to bathe a cat, so here are a couple of things you can try to prevent it from happening again.
